See how to use Rhino and Grasshopper to automate the design process in ARCHICAD. Algorithmic design has quickly become a common way of generating form with a new and often organic expression. In this example balconies on a facade are designed by moving splines jumping between front and side view. It's easy and fun, but most importantly it's an itterative design process where the architect try many options until the best solusion is found. ARCHICAD is always calculating the areas of each balcony in the background.
