In support of International Women’s Day 2024, Celtic FC Women’s ambassador Rose Reilly sat down to discuss her incredible story of not letting anything get in her way to reach her lifelong ambition of playing football at the highest level. And now, thanks to trailblazers like Rose, players of the current generation can fulfil those dreams from a young age in Scotland, like our very own Clare Goldie. Joining the Celtic Academy at 14-years-old, the teenager is one of the youngest current professional players at the club, and has gone on to feature countless times at senior level, playing in the UEFA Women’s Champions League and also captaining Scotland at youth level. The future for the Celtic Academy is also bright with youngsters like Lola, Eliana, Sophie, Monroe and Alice from our U14s team all able to follow in the footsteps of players like Clare Goldie. Whether it be at Celtic or across Scotland, numbers collected by the SFA have showcased the continued growth of Girls’ and Women’s football in this country, with 22,977 registered participants in 2023 – a record number for the second consecutive year. --- 🍀Subscribe today to the official YouTube of the world’s first Quadruple Treble winners, Celtic Football Club: 📽️ Plus, you can watch exclusive player and manager interviews, full-match replays and go behind the scenes of Celtic FC ONLY on Celtic TV.
