This took me entirely too long :,) Eglantine and her big brother Soren sing the ‘Centipede Song’ together as young hatchlings, but unfortunately are separated and reunited many months later at the Great Tree. Eglantine has been moonblinked, this world’s equivalent of brainwashing/desensitization. Gylfie, Soren’s best friend, comforts him as he grieves for his sister.
