🫣A very dangerous record! Chinese athlete Shi walked a 100-metre slackline in just under 1 minute and 14 seconds. The attempt took place at Pingxiang’s Wugong Mountain, at an altitude of 1600 metres. The slackline—which is just 2.5 centimetres wide—was 100 metres above the ground. The wires used by tightrope walkers from the village of Tsovkra in Dagestan, Russia, are even narrower—they’re only 8 millimetres! Most of the locals feel comfortable on a tightrope. Why were only boys allowed to learn this art in the past? What lead to girls being taught now?
