Eruption had two international hit singles with “I Can't Stand The Rain“ and “One Way Ticket“ before lead singer Precious Wilson decided to go solo in 1979. The group found a new lead singer in Kim Davis for their third album, seeing them land a German Top 10-hit with “Go Johnnie Go“, but Kim Davis got involved in a serious car accident shortly after and eventually sadly passed away from a brain haemorrhage. The group continued with new lead singer Janye James and had another hit with “Runaway“, but Hansa's enthusiasm in the group was waning, and the group instead signed with Ralph Siegel's Jupiter Records who had just broken away from the Ariola group of labels and was now under the TELDEC group. Their first single “In A 1000 Years“ was released in December. France and Italy flipped the single and released “We Don't Need Nobody“ as the A-side.
