A supercut of Demolition (2015) directed by Jean-Marc Vallee. Music - La Boheme by Charles Aznavour. I will copy-paste what I wrote about Demolition and Jean-Marc on Letterboxd after a recent rewatch of the film. I think it summarizes the importance of the movie and Jean-Marc to me more or less perfectly - “Jean-Marc Vallee has made some amazing things for both television and the big screen. I really like Dallas Buyers Club and Wild and Big Little Lies (Season 1) and Sharp Objects are two of my favourite things on TV of all time. But the work of his that stayed with me the most is Demolition, this little film he did, which is also his last feature film. This film where a character lives out his daily corporate life working in an investment bank until his wife dies in a car accident (which he survives), and we see that he has all these pent-up emotions that he has never been able to express and that accident shakes him up, his years of suppressing his emotions finally get to h
