Building UP 844 | E8 | The Trailing Truck

Welcome back to Building 844 here on The Steam Channel. In episode 8, we’ll give you an overview of the initial work to complete the trailing truck for our big ALCO northern. This video shows the initial construction of the trailing truck as it was completed by Gemini. Revisions will be made to the truck by Liam Locomotive Works which will include keyed pedestal binders. This video was filmed in June of 2022. Shortly thereafter, we attended the Train Mountain Triennial. The massive amount of 4K footage filmed during the triennial required our sole editing focus as it maxed out space on our hard drives. Catch-up had to then be played with editing other event footage that couldn’t be transferred until the TM footage was purged. Soon after this editing was completed, my wife and I welcomed our first child in early fall. Unfortunately, editing this video kept getting pushed back since then - but - here it is.
