LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! - FILM MONTH ON BRITISH PATHÉ (FEBRUARY 2016): Special Report: On Set. With so many starry clips from the Golden Age of the Silver Screen to choose from, we've had to create more videos this month than usual. So in this extra long, 20 minute “Special Report“, we visit the sets of some classic (and some not-so-classic) movies and see the cast and crew at work. Much of the footage comes from a British Pathé TV show, “Film Fanfare“, from the mid-1950s. A graphic separates each individual newsreel/TV episode, though each of these may look at the making of multiple films. We look behind-the-scenes of the following productions: The Great Race (1965) The Wreck of the Mary Deare (1959) Fire Down Below (1957) Seven Waves Away (1957) The Baby and the Battleship (1956) My Wife's Family (1956) Tarzan and the Lost Safari (1957) The Silken Affair (1956) Far from the Madding Crowd (1967) Music: “William Tell Overture (by Rossini)“ Standard YouTube License
