Qishan was once known as the Phoenix Mountain. The 凤求凰 (the male phoenix's wish for the female phoenix) derives from Si Maxiang Ru's song in the Han Dynasty. Not only does it describe a man's passionate pursuit for the love of a woman, it also symbolizes their extraordinary ideals, understanding and synchronicity as soul mates. For Artem 2) There are many different types of scripts in Chinese calligraphy, regular script is the most recognized version. It is usually written with consistency, thus the use of thick ink. In the past, ink has to be grinded from an inkbar, and how you grind it gives you different types of ink. For Marius 3) Marius' first two lines in this PV comes from Luyou's poem, 临安春雨初霁, written in the Song Dynasty. While the poem in its entirety speaks more about his outlook on life, when the two lines that Marius recites is read alone, it refers to how poets have laments and frustrations hidden behind their leisurely appearance. It seems that the PV has only taken the appearance of this act though. For Vyn 4) While incense were used for mainly religious purposes in the beginning, they have evolved to be included in leisurely activities for nobles. Learning to recognize and savor incenses help to cultivate oneself.
