Unable to afford his favourite motorcycles, a 19-year-old bike enthusiast from Sao Paolo state created incredible cardboard replicas of his beloved models from scratch, as seen in Sao Jose do Rio Preto on Monday. Henry Goncalves, who is passionate about motorbikes since 15, said the idea came from his hobby of creating sketches and miniatures of the choppers. “Then I thought why not make them in real size?“ Henry's dream bike, a Honda CB 600 F Hornet, took him 10 months to complete. The second replica, reproducing BMW R 1200, was built in a much shorter time despite a higher complexity. “Shock absorbers and several other pieces are made of PVC pipe, but most of it is cardboard,“ Henry explained. “Today it is my job, I make money doing those cardboard motorbikes,“ said Henry, who's also a drawer and photo editor.
