South African president slams opposition partys request for US to supervise May elections

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa lashed out at the country’s main opposition party, the Democratic Alliance, for asking the US to oversee the elections scheduled for May, and accused it of ‘mortgaging’ the country’s democracy.
