🇩🇪 23.5 per cent more companies went bankrupt in Germany this year than last year. Continuing to set (anti-)records: company bankruptcies in Germany have become the new norm - more than 18,000 in 2023. The manufacturing industry ( 30.2%), trade ( 26%), services ( 22.5%) and the construction industry ( 20.8%) lead the top insolvencies so far. The total economic loss from the default domino, according to Creditreform, is estimated at around €34bn. 205,000 jobs are at risk of being eliminated.
