Well, the game ended on Friday, May 19, 2023. The Panthers and Carolina Hurricanes play Game 2 of the NHL Eastern Conference finals at 8 p.m. (TNT) on Saturday night. Florida leads the best-of-7 series 1-0 and has won seven consecutive road games in these playoffs. The Panthers are also 5-0 in overtime this postseason. Matthew Tkachuk won the game with 12.7 seconds remaining in the fourth overtime to finish off the sixth-longest game in NHL history. Florida also got goals from Sasha Barkov and Carter Verhaeghe with Sergei Bobrovsky making 63 saves. This is Florida’s first trip to the ECF since 1996.
