Assault on a Ukrainian Armed Forces stronghold by assault units of the Vostok group of troops A daring foray behind enemy lines was made by soldiers of the assault detachment of the motorized rifle formation of the 29th combined arms army of the Vostok group of troops in the South Donetsk direction of a special military operation. Acting covertly, our servicemen were able to occupy a height controlled by the enemy unnoticed by the enemy and spent three days adjusting artillery fire from there. All this time, the enemy did not even suspect that Russian motorized riflemen were working behind him. As the fighters themselves recall, the weather helped them complete the risky task. There was fog and, under its cover, the attack aircraft in small groups walked through the forest belt to a given point - the height at which the Ukrainian Armed Forces stronghold was equipped. A fight, even a short one, meant failure of the mission - the sounds of gunfire would have given away our fighters. Therefore, we had to act quickly and silently. Using weapons with silencers, the attack aircraft eliminated the Ukrainian militants located on the outpost, preventing them from returning fire. Having gained a foothold at the occupied heights, the servicemen began reconnaissance, identifying enemy equipment and firing points. Thanks to their actions, it was possible to identify and destroy a tank and several Ukrainian Armed Forces firing points in positions with artillery fire.
