In an exclusive interview with DW News, former US President George. W. Bush says he believes it is a mistake to pull US and NATO troops out of Afghanistan. President Bush added that he feared the withdrawal would lead to women and girls suffering at the hands of the Taliban. He also spoke of his relationship with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, offering praise for her support of the military mission in Afghanistan.
