Monkey goes on 24-hour beer and crime rampage before being caught by cops

Just when we thought there were no more heroes in the world, Momo the monkey comes along to prove us wrong. This primate perp escaped from his owner on Wednesday evening for a wild night out in Indianapolis, breaking into homes, chugging beer, stealing food and mildly startling local residents by jumping on their cars. Given that Momo is a patas monkey, and can run at a whopping 50kmph, it’s no surprise that tracking him down took so long. He ended up leading cops on a 24-hour chase before being nabbed in a house under construction. In photos shared by the Indianapolis Police Department, Momo looked incredibly disappointed that his jaunt had come to an end, although he isn’t half as disappointed as we are.
