Sea of Iranians arrive to pay final respect to Prez Ebrahim Raisi, foreign minister Hossein Amir

A huge crowd gathered in Iran’s Tabriz to mourn President Ebrahim Raisi on May 21. Ebrahim Raisi died on May 20, a day after the helicopter he and his companions were travelling in crashed near Jolfa, a city on the border with Azerbaijan, some 600 kilometres northwest of the Iranian capital, Tehran. Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian also died with Ebrashim Raisi in the helicopter crash.
