Watch convoys of Challenger 2 battle tanks and Warrior armoured vehicles being transported by beasty Oshkosh tank transporters for the British Army. Shot from multiple locations on the same route. The Challenger 2 is the Main Battle Tank (MBT) of the British Army and is operated by The King's Royal Hussars and The Queen's Royal Hussars at Tidworth Camp, Wiltshire. The FV 510 Warrior Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) transports infantry and provides an armoured fighting capability across the Royal Armoured Corps (RAC). The Oshkosh 1070F 8x8 is the tractor unit of the Heavy Equipment Transporter (HET) tasked with pulling Challenger 2s, Warrior Infantry Fighting Vehicles, and other heavy vehicles on the 14 wheeled King Trailers seen in the video. These are operated by 19 Tank Transporter Squadron of the Royal Logistics Corps (RLC) at Bulford Camp, and also KBR FTX Logistics Ltd, who are contracted to the Ministry of Defence to provide transport during peacetime. You will also notice some other vehicles. Following the Challenger 2s is a Challenger Armoured Repair and Recovery Vehicle (CRARRV) of the Royal Electrical & Mechnical Engineers (REME), in case the tanks require recovery. An older Chieftain Armoured Vehicle Royal Engineers (AVRE) and a Chieftain Armoured Vehicle Launched Bridge (AVLB) are also seen, which are now retired and only used as training aids.
