The piano intro melody is too beautiful and soothing that I decided to approach the song with a different mindset and omitted the rap parts. Instead, I simply looped the melody over and over again but with extra chords and extended chord progression along with different textures and dynamics. The chromatic chord progression with the 7th sounding really delivers that bitter-sweet feeling, and gives the piece so much more meaning and more colorful musically even though basically it’s just the same melody looping.
