So, the fight between Diego Corrales and Jose Luis Castillo, held on May 7th, 2005, at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, is widely regarded as one of the greatest boxing matches in history. This bout was for the WBC and WBO lightweight titles and delivered an unforgettable display of heart, skill, and dramatic turns. So guys those are the details, but let me first of all start by just saying Wow! That fight is exemplary when we want to talk about entertaining. It was, for me, one of the best fights you can ever expect to have the privilege to watch. It was definitely a top 5 all-time great fight. You had 2 boxers using similar styles, up close and personal, both fighting on the inside. None of them wanted to give up any ground, and the entire fight was crammed full to the brim with action. You couldn't pick a winner throughout the course of the fight because when one of the boxers took the initiative to press the action, the other boxer would equalize their efforts and create this constant ebb and flow within the dominance of the fight. And guys I'm not going to talk about the 10th round because for me, that was 24 carat pure classic gold in the ring.
