The program was adapted from “China: The Roots of Madness“ and directed by Mel Stuart and Theodore Harold White and produced by Wolper Productions for the Encyclopedia Britannica Corporation. The film describes, through interviews and memoir quotes of various figures, such as Chiang Kai-Shek, Gen Joseph Stilwell, Zhu De, Mao Zedong, Brig. Gen. Frank Dorn, T.H.
