One of a series of short films produced in 1969 by Charles Grinker and Mert Koplin, “Which Way USA -- Black Views on Race“ provided brief portraits of many African American leaders including Martin Luther King, Cassius Clay, Malcolm X, Sidney Poitier, and others. This episode features Coretta Scott King (1927 – 2006) the wife of Martin Luther King Jr. Coretta Scott King was an important leader in the civil rights movement, especially in the years after MLK's assassination, and played a role in the Women's Movement and LGBTQ rights movement, as well as the fight against apartheid. She founded the King Center and helped make MLK's birthday an official USA national holiday.
