A while back, I finished an incomplete version of “There Are Other Ways“, which also happened to be the very first animatic I've ever made for Epic the Musical, my current musical obsession. I promised viewers that if it reaches 50k views that I would complete it. It has since blown past that so here I am, completing the entire animatic. I hope you guys enjoy! ------- SPOILER ZONE ----- SPOILERS ABOUT THE LAMB/SHEEP - Since so many asked, I felt I should explain. The next song after this is UNDERWORLD, of which I am creating an animatic for. The lamb makes a brief appearance in the first few seconds of my Underworld animatic, but as --- TRIGGER WARNING --- an animal sacrifice. That's because in the actual myth, Circe instructed Odysseus to perform a ritual to get access to the Underworld, one of which needed blood of a lamb/sheep. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the lamb does not make it out alive. SPOILERS ABOUT THE BIRD/DUCK/SWAN/FOWL/GOOSE - To clarify, those are geese. I chose them to remind Odysseus of his wife Penelope since she kept geese as pets. I also chose a Greylag Goose, where females are gray and males are white. Check again and you'll see those geese represent Penelope, Telemachus and Odysseus. They're apart but slowly reuniting. SPOILERS ABOUT THE MERMAN AND SCYLLA - That was a vision of Circe's past unrequited love, the merman/fishman Glaucus, who fell in love with the nymph Scylla. Circe was so jealous that she turned Scylla into the sea monster she is known today. Video inspiration: Check out Epic the Musical wherever you stream! Big thanks to Isaac for the English subtitles!
