Initial projections in the second round of France’s legislative elections have the leftist alliance the “New Popular Front“ in the lead. The coalition, which includes Jean-Luc Melenchon’s party “France Unbowed“, could get as many as 215 seats. President Macron's “Together“ coalition is second, with up to 180 seats. Marine Le Pen's far-right “National Rally“ is on course to get a maximum of 150 seats, far short of a majority many had expected. 289 out of 577 seats are required for a political camp to reach an absolute majority. Following tonight's disappointing result for Macron’s coalition, Prime Minister Gabriel Attal has offered to resign. #frenchelections #leftalliance #newpopularfront Subscribe: For more news go to: Follow DW on social media: ►Facebook: ►Twitter: https://tw
