So we had a flight towards Rotterdam The Hague Airport. Weather forecast was looking good, so there was no reason to take any extra fuel for a possible Go Around. During the flight towards Rotterdam The Hague Airport, we requested a METAR, to see the expected weather at the airport. It was below minimums and we would not have been able to land there. Then we continuously asked for new METAR's to see if there would be any improvement. When we had contact with Amsterdam, they informed us that a colleague of us just tried to land on runway 24 at Rotterdam The Hague Airport, but had to perform a go around. He asked us if we where interested in making an approach on runway 06. Just to see if we could get in from the other side. Clouds at the minimums with good visibility below the clouds. Wind wise it would be no problem to do that, plus the sun would be just behind us, which would be in our favor. This was an extreme close call to perform a go around. Hope you enjoyed it too! ;-) Music: Thro
