Pretty Chord Change Lesson. I had a request for a lesson that discusses chord changes other than the standard I/IV/V Blues progressions we always get for harmonica. I couldn't think of a more common movement than this! So today we're discussing moving from the I chord to a minor 6 Change. One way to also look at this movement could be thinking of our approach as changing from 2nd Position to 5th Position, on the same harp, in the same song. We here this change very frequently in Pop, Folk, Rock, Gospel as well as in Jazz and occasionally blues to. So today we learn how to do that and how to play the Minor Pentatonic Scale in 5th Position all in one lesson! I'm using a “C“ Hohner Crossover by Tom Halchak of Blue Moon Harmonicas in the Key of “G“ and basically “Em“ as well.
