Chileans and friends stage a flashmob performance of the folk protest song 'El Pueblo Unido jamás será Vencido' (The People United will never be Defeated) at St Pancras Station in London, Monday 4 November 2019. The song, which originates in leftwing political movements of the 1960s and 1970s and was made famous by the Chilean folk bands Inti-illimani and Quilapuyún, has become an anthem for the current protests against inequality and state brutality that have engulfed Chile in recent weeks. Several singers wore white gauzes over their eyes to symbolise state violence against protestors, many of whom have lost eyes to police aggression. At least 20 people have died in the protests. #ChileDesperto #ElPuebloUnido For more info visit: Twitter: @alboradanet
