Al Di Meola performs Chick Corea's Señor Mouse and Egyptian Danza (10:37) and Jumpin' Jack Flash (15:50) in his first appearance as a solo artist on a major television broadcast. The jazz fusion guitarist was live on Don Kirshner's Rock Concert on September 27, 1980 with selections from his third jazz fusion album Casino, released in 1978. Senor Mouse was originally recorded on Return To Forever's 1973 album Hymn Of The Seventh Galaxy. Al Di Meola's musical career was launched at age 19 when Chick Corea had him join Return To Forever in 1974 out of Berklee College of Music. He replaced guitarist Bill Conners.
