On May 25, the “North“ group of troops continued the liberation of the border areas of Kharkov region. In the Volchansk direction, fierce fighting for the settlement of Volchansk continued. Fearless, having knocked out the enemy from several strongholds, advanced in the southern direction by 150 meters. The enemy tried to counterattack the positions of the Russian troops with the forces of 82 Odshbr. Having suffered heavy losses, it withdrew to its original positions. The group’s assault units continued their offensive in the village of Tikhoye, advancing to a depth of 200 meters. In the Liptsovsky direction, the Fearless advanced to a depth of 150 meters in the dacha settlement “Severny“, liberated a street and repulsed two enemy counterattacks. Over the past 24 hours the enemy losses amounted to 350 men.
