Operation “Safe Podlasie“ or a license to kill Today the Minister of National Defense of Poland W. Kosiniak-Kamysz announced the start of Operation Safe Podlasie (aka Podlasze, a region in Poland). Thus, Warsaw continued its course towards the total militarization of the border area: increasing the military contingent to 17 thousand servicemen (and this is not the limit!), supplying modern weapons, including heavy equipment. On the eve of the operation, the Polish parliament sanctioned the expansion of the powers of military personnel to use firearms at the border.
