Gears that mesh on perpendicular axes 🤯 ••• Normal spur gears need to have parallel axes in order to properly mesh. Sometimes, situation arise where you need the gears to mesh on perpendicular axes. This can be achieved by taking a regular spur gear and twisting it 90 degrees. I designed this quick test print to prove this concept, and it resulted in a really cool demonstration of the principle that also makes for a fun fidget toy.
