Joe Biden said Ukraine will “never be a victory for Russia.” Tony Blinken said the spirit of Ukraine was stronger than ever. Ex-General Ben Hodges said Crimea would be liberated by August! Then in April an Air National Guardsman leaked secret documents. These warned of a “catastrophic situation” in Ukraine, and a “protracted war beyond 2023.” Not only did papers like the New York Times help turn in the “Pentagon Leaker” , and not only did media critics denounce him as a “self-serving,” “nihilistic” thief,” the Washington Post is now blaming his leaks for losing the war. The secret documents, they say, provided a “sharp contrast to Washington’s optimistic messaging.” That’s Post-ese for “exposed official lies.” This emboldened critics to speak out, and the paper now says those critics have “turned into a powerful bloc that has held up President Biden’s $106 billion” aid request.
