The heavy rains that hit the province of Buenos Aires on Thursday caused flooding and damage. Many people had to be evacuated and city halls are intensifying preventive public works on the roads due to the yellow warning of rain and thunderstorms. More than 50 flights were affected at Aeroparque Jorge Newbury and Ezeiza international airports this morning due to severe thunderstorms that began this morning in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area. More than 40 flights were delayed, eight were canceled and several others were diverted due to inability to land. The SMN weather service maintained an alert for the metropolitan region and most of the country due to severe thunderstorms with possible hail, rain and even snow in some provinces.
