A dog walker captured the stunning moment a huge section of the White Cliffs of Dover collapsed into the English Channel. Thousands of tonnes of chalk fell into the sea near Samphire Hoe, Kent, in two separate falls, sending a huge wave rippling through the sea towards France. Footage of the heart-stopping moment showed onlookers gasping as a section of the cliff collapsed into the Channel.
