The Philosophy of Sonic the Hedgehog in the IDW Comics. How Sonic Explores the Philosophy of Free Will! An analysis/video essay on the themes of the Sonic IDW comics and how they relate to Sonic the Hedgehog’s characterization. We will also look at how Sonic’s relationship with Surge the Tenrec and Dr. Eggman relates to the existentialist question of free will. I will also show how the philosophical ideas explored in the IDW comics are reflected and examined deeper in Fyodor Dostoevsky’s “The Grand Inquisitor“ in “The Brothers Karamazov“ and Aldous Huxley’s “Brave New World“.
