Guppies (Poecilia reticulata)

The common Guppy was only collecting at one study site location for the duration of my study. This species was surveyed near a bridge where it was most likely introduced via aquarium as a pet. This species is not native to the USVI as it is not a migratory species and does not a pelagic larvae means it does not require salt water/ or the marine environment to develop like the other 6 species of fish and 5 species of shrimp in the guts.
