“Walkin’ into the Light” is the stirring debut single from Snatam Kaur’s upcoming album, Heartflow. The guitar-rich, get-on-your-feet-and-dance folk anthem celebrates the power of embracing change, the courage to open to what's new and different in life, and the discovery of connecting with the flow of one's journey. Snatam’s stepfather managed the Grateful Dead, allowing her, in her youth, to attend many of the band’s concerts and develop a passion for folk music. Combined with the love of chant music she is known for, Snatam sings a Sikh kirtan line in the song, inviting the practitioner to walk in the path of love, light, and divinity. Composed with her band, the group has already taken the brightly open-hearted song on the road to audiences across Europe and the USA, who have enjoyed and celebrated its upbeat and inspiring energy.
