🔽 A Simple LEGO Pneumatic Switchless Machine with building instructions. 🔽 This engine is built around a single double acting pneumatic cylinder, with air distribution using custom valves. These custom valves are composed of 2-hose loops by cylinder chambers (one for intake, one for exhaust). They are operated by pushers on sliding mechanism, connected to a rod mecanism, enabling to pinch the hose to restrict the air flow and so create the valve / switch function. It drives also a inertia wheel with a 5:1 gear ratio to provide momentum to the engine. It is based on a modified version of the one I did 3 year ago and extensively a simpler version of my Switchless Machine, with less parts, fixed ignition offset and modified actuation to use the widespread 11l / 88mm hose instead of rare / 90mm that I used before. The white hoses are from BlokBricks (P10 Hose 2/4mm) but it works fine with regular hoses from LEGO except the new glossy versions which are too hard to pinch. It's switchless in the sense that it doesn't use the official LEGO switch. In LEGO lingo this is called a switchless mechanism, not to say it doesn't have a switch, but to say it didn't use a LEGO switch metapiece. 📲 Building instructions, review, pictures : 🧩 Rebrickale Link : 📐 Dimensions : 19cm (L) x 13cm (W) x 16cm (H) 00:00 : Building the Engine 01:58 : Test with LEGO Hand Pump 02:20 : Test with Compressor 03:15 : Testing the Limits 04:20 : Bill of Material 04:31 : Outro 🔔 If you like my Lego work, please subscribe and activate the YouTube notifications ! 🔔 🎁 My creations for sale (Parts Instructions) : -Genuine LEGO Bricks : -Alternative Bricks : 📷 Instagram : 👍 Facebook : 📕 Review and building instructions :
