It will also be the first Super Bowl to take place on the second Sunday in February instead of the first, as it had been in the recent past, due to the regular season schedule being expanded from 16 to 17 games. The game will be televised nationally by NBC. For the AFC, it will feature either the Kansas City Chiefs or Cincinnati Bengals, depending on results in the AFC Championship Game.
