British Instructional Films Ltd presents a Classroom Film. This seems to be a cinematic guessing game for schoolchildren. i) Three men chop at the trunks of trees. Shots of two trees falling. ii) A scythe is sharpened in C/U. Man in flat cap cuts a crop with the scythe. iii) A man shears a sheep with a hand tool whilst two children stroke the sheep. iv) Two paddles for making butter pats are taken from a bucket of water then used to shape butter into a pat. v) Two men plaster a wall. Two men nail a plank of wood to another on the roof of a building. vii) A man chips away at a piece of stone to make a sculpture of a monkey. He seems to be at the zoo as monkeys are clambering around. The sculptor wears a beret and a smock - every inch the traditional artist! viii) Men standing waist deep in snow use spades to move snow and ice. All fairly short shots. Note: some of these shots (if not all) are taken from other . films. e.g. “Butter from Milk“ and “Building a House“. FILM ID:
