► Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of face reconstruction of Roman emperors by Haroun Binous. So far, we have seen 22 Roman emperors real faces across the span of two centuries and we're now moving onto the 3rd century. This century has seen as many as 32 men take the throne as emperor and is characterized with major Military Anarchy also known as The Crisis of the Third Century. It all started with the assassination of the Emperor Severus Alexander by his own troops in 235. Year 238 alone has seen 6 men recognized as emperors of Rome. The empire nearly collapsed and was split into three competing states, reunited again later, by Aurelian. The crisis ended with the ascension of Diocletian and implementation of reforms in year 284, which saw empire divided into East and West. The empire was divided further into four distinct sections ruled by four co-emperors. Today in PART 1, we are going to see recreated faces of first 16 emperors of the 3rd century CE (AD).
