There are lots of cross-border friendships and in some sense, it is these friendships that build understanding between people from different countries and make the world a better place. They became friends in 1998 during a photo shoot in Guizhou. Na Risong came all the way to America to publish a photo collection for Yann, and when Yann was not in a good state, Na Risong helped him restore his confidence by holding a large-scale solo exhibition of his works.
