Collinson And Dean (1930)

Titles read: 'And now for some mirth and misery with Collinson and Dean in “Seeing the Dentist“.' Pathe Studio, London. The older man of the comedy team Collinson and Dean (not sure which is which) stands at the door to a dentist's surgery. A sign on the wall reads 'A Payne - Dentist'. The man has a handkerchief round his jaw and makes groaning sounds - must be bad toothache. A schoolboy comes along (the other half of Collinson and Dean) and tells him the dentist won't be open for half an hour. The man sits down to wait and the boy sits beside him. They engage in some nonsense talk - the boy won't leave the man alone. He says he's going to sit outside and listen when the man goes in to the dentist to hear the fun! The man says he's never had a tooth out before and asks if it hurts - the boy tells him in detail how awful it is, and says the dentist has an assistant who is “only a learner“ and is known as 'Ginger the butcher'! The boy offers the man a piece of coconut toffee. He looks in th
