Syria- US-led coalition begin holding joint patrols in northern Syria

US forces began holding patrols along the Syrian-Turkish border, footage filmed on Friday shows. US military personnel and armoured vehicles can be seen patrolling the area near the northern Syrian city of Kobane. In a statement released by the Combined Joint Task Force of Operation Inherent Resolve, British Maj. General Christopher Ghika said the patrols would ensure coalition forces’ ability to work together to protect civilians and defeat Da’esh. For their part, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense issued a statement saying the joint patrols would continue until the “end state“ agreed in the Manbij Roadmap is reached.
