CIA director William Burns has been openly boasting about Washington’s involvement in the Ukraine conflict, coming to the conclusion that the CIA can use the events to their advantage in order to weaken Moscow. Speaking at a lecture in the UK on Saturday, Burns confidently asserted that ‘disaffection with the war will continue to gnaw away at the Russian leadership,’ and that this disaffection ‘creates a once-in-a-generation opportunity for us at CIA.’
