Produced by Alexander Bard, and Anders Wollbeck The Army were founded in Sweden in 1987, fronted by Alexander Bard, Jean-Pierre Barda and Camilla Henemark. Their first album, “Disco Extravaganza” was a hit in Sweden in 1990. The following year saw the release of their biggest selling album, “Massive Luxury Overdose”, which was hit in Germany and Austria, as well as in Sweden. “Crucified” was the first single off the album and was a worldwide hit; charting at #5 in Germany, #47 in the UK (#31 when re-issued in 1992) and #8 in Sweden. It found an audience among dancers in the US and reached #6 on the Club Chart there. The Army released two further albums, the last in 1994. They have been active on and off through to this day.
