Tens of thousands of people protested in Brussels, home of the European Union (EU) institutions, demanding economic and diplomatic pressure on Israel to end its attacks on Gaza. Tens of thousands of people, including EU employees, Belgian politicians, representatives from different sectors ranging from education to health, members of human rights organisations, and students who have been protesting at various universities in Europe for weeks, gathered in front of the North Train Station in the centre of Brussels at local time. The demonstrators, carrying Palestinian flags, keffiyehs around their necks and banners such as “Boycott Israel“, “Stop the genocide“, “Save Gaza“, “Protect Rafah“, marched through the main streets of the city shouting slogans. At the end of the march, the demonstrators gathered in Jean Rey Square, located between the European Parliament (EP) and the EU Council building.
