Throughout its three movements, Andantino, Andante and Allegretto sostenuto, the tunes of the siguiriya of La Mancha and those of the classic Andalusian seguidilla blend together with tender elegance. The composer successfully achieves a balance by alternating solo and orchestral passages, so that there prevails at all times a transparency of instrumental colours.
