It's been over twenty long years. But now the rotary snow plow comes back to life to do what it was built to do. Clear snow and a lot of it. The nearly 100 year old rotary was brought back to life earlier this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Cumbres and Toltec Railroad. With the exception of a fall stalls, everything went well. No mechanical problems were encountered along the way. On this day the train traveled from Chama, New Mexico to the Colorado state line. Tomorrow the train would travel up to the top of Cumbres Pass (in part 2 of my video). Filmed on February 29th, 2020.
