Tangaj Dance Collective is a Romanian based contemporary dance company founded in 2013 by choreographer Simona Deaconescu and producer Anamaria Antoci. The company produces very strong physical works, exploring a dystopian world, creating a space of confluences and (re)mixing the border between rational and irrational. Tangaj Dance is known for the series of science fiction performances “The Dream Factory“, “Birdville“, “Aftertaste“, showcased both nationally and internationally, and site specific dance films “Silent Places“ and “Sonder“, selected and awarded in more than 40 festivals around the world.
